Every serious chef should be able to make a good vegetarian dish. That was not the case here. Was served salad leaves with vinegar. The view was fantastic and the location superb, and that's the only reason to go here. Really do not recommend eating here if you are going to have vegetarian food, but rather have a glass on the veranda and enjoy the view.
Fantastic view and perfect service in this beautiful restaurant. We tried the "Alpes spritz", a nice twist of the classic cocktail and very refreshing. We then had the ravioles, very good 👍. A tiny bit pricy but good food and view + service make I worth it!
A must visit when you are in Grenoble!
The food is superb, ingredients are always in season and fresh, the portions are fairly generous and the view is gorgeous!
Each dish was well made and delicious, but my favorite would be desserts! With the hot weather, enjoying the splendid treats, while gazing at the city and the whiff of fresh air... Definitely a moment that I loved sharing with my beloved!
The staff was super sweet and helpful even though we were late, they kept our seats and even called us to check if everything was okay.
Overall everything was impeccable!
Went here to quickly get a cup of coffe-to-go to continue my roadtrip. The views are simply great and already worth visiting. The funniest thing: It was the very first time in my life when a single cup of coffee was served by five waiters: one to figure out from his supervisor if they can serve me a coffee, another one to explain that they have no disposable cups so I need to stay inside, another one to show me my table in a completely empty restaurant, another one to bring the menu and the coffee and finally one more again to accept my card payment. Everything went super smoothly and fast, but these charades looked funny :-D Anyway, the cappuccino was awful.
We really liked it. Thanks Francois. Great cocktail. Friendly service. Amazing appetizer and desert.
The Pèr’Gras offers a lovely dining experience: knowledgeable waiters, fancy dishes, and a breathtaking view. We went to celebrate our anniversary, and really enjoyed ourselves. However, there was a certain amount of pressure to purchase mor than we had come for. Unfortunately, the price is just very high for what is good but not great food. My spiny lobster was almost rubbery. My husband’s meat was perfectly tender, although the foie gras on top was entirely unnecessary. The gratin dauphinois was wonderful.
Favorite thing: the signature cocktails. The barman even shared his recipe! I highly recommend Le Maya.
Least favorite thing: the price. I honestly think you can get much better, fresher food at any number of small restaurants in downtown Grenoble.
But will it have the same view? Definitely not.
Worth the trip up the hill for the views alone. It will most likely be the most scenic view you've ever had while eating. Menu is on the pricier end, but the food is high quality and you are paying for the location. You have to walk about a quarter mile if you come up the boules, but you won't be disappointed.
The location is the best part. We ate here on a Saturday evening - a table of 9. The place was full and we waited ++1 hour to be served. Far from the window, we didn't get much of a view during the meal although we did appreciate it before and after the meal. We took the car up and that was an experience - narrow & steep with hairpin bends. Definitely wasn't tempted to drink and drive. The food was good but not exceptional. In total impartiality 😉, I prefer my gratin Dauphinois to their's.
